Meet Maree

Maree is a dedicated early childhood teacher with 26 years of experience in the sector. She has always felt called to teach, and early childhood quickly became the place where she found the greatest opportunity to guide, inspire, and advocate for children as they grow. With a Bachelor of Teaching, she has spent her career supporting children in preparing for Kindergarten with confidence, curiosity, and joy.

She loves creating meaningful learning experiences through rich conversations, hands‑on exploration, and environments where children feel supported to take risks and discover their capabilities. Maree is passionate about the Early Years Framework and sees herself as a facilitator of learning, helping each child thrive as they build strong foundations for their future.

Maree values St Luke’s for its high‑quality, inquiry‑based learning and the way the team champions diversity, belonging, and relationships. She appreciates the warm, collaborative culture that ensures every child feels welcomed, seen, and supported. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching a good movie, and travelling to visit relatives in New Zealand — and a fun fact: she is the proud mum of twins!
