A NEW EARLY LEARNING COMMUNITY

About St Luke’s Early Learning Community in Deakin

Opened in January 2026, St Luke’s Early Learning Community in Deakin is a nurturing, inclusive, and values‑driven centre dedicated to giving every child the very best start to their learning journey. We are proud to offer a calm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and truly known.

At St Luke’s, strong relationships sit at the heart of all learning and wellbeing. Guided by Christian values of peace, acceptance, and compassion, we honour each child’s uniqueness and foster empathy, kindness, and respectful interactions. Our play‑based, inquiry‑led curriculum is inspired by Reggio Emilia and guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, allowing educators to follow children’s interests and deepen learning through meaningful projects and investigations.

We value strong partnerships with families and believe collaboration is essential to supporting children’s growth. By developing deep knowledge of each child, their interests, routines, and personality, we work closely with families to create a consistent, connected early learning experience within the wider Canberra community.

At St Luke’s Early Learning, we provide both care and education for young children. Our educators create nurturing environments where children explore, question, and collaborate. Each day blends the security of quality care with intentional teaching that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
