At St Luke’s we have developed a contemporary, innovative and holistic play-based curriculum that consistently inspires self-confident, independent and inquisitive learners. Guided by the principles of Reggio Emilia early learning and underpinned by the Early years Framework for Australia (Belonging, Being and Becoming).

We're expanding to Deakin and creating more than just classrooms.

For children from 6 weeks to 5 years, our new early learning service will be more than just a place to play — it’s a space designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong love of learning.

We are building beautiful spaces, designed to ignite imagination and grow young minds. Our dedicated STEM space is a hands-on area for young inventors and thinkers, with simple machines, tinkering stations, and chain reaction challenges inspired by Rube Goldberg creativity. Children will explore how things move, connect, and work together — learning that even the smallest change can make a big impact.

In our Literacy & Library space, children are gently bathed in language — surrounded by books, stories, songs, rhymes, patterns, and playful writing. It’s not about rushing to read — it’s about creating rich, joyful experiences with words that build strong foundations and dispositions for future literacy.

We are not preparing children for school — we are giving them the tools, the confidence, the habits of mind and the curiosity to explore their world with wonder and a questioning mind. By sparking children’s passion for learning, discovery, and expression from the very start they will be equipped to move on to the next stage in their learning journey at primary school.

St Luke’s in Deakin- a place where young minds do big thinking.
